OCEANOGRAPHY IS BEING offered at CUC for the first time during the fall semester. CUC is partnering with the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and is getting funding for the class from the National Science Foundation. The four-credit class, called Topics: Introductory Oceanography is taught by Dr. Serhii Kalynovs'kyi, Chair of the Department of Physics and Engineering. Students who take the course will have a unique opportunity to study the topic in a location that has a lot of field trip and first-hand experience opportunities.
