Summer in DC

SUMMER HAS ARRIVED in the Washington, DC area. With temperatures hitting the 90s, those of us who live near the nation's capital are doing what we can to keep cool. It's actually been a beautiful spring, with low humidity, moderate temperatures, and just enough rain to turn the CUC campus green. The photo you see was taken just last week.

But summer doesn't equal time off around here. On the contrary. Keep checking back as we post some of the many activities that will be going on at CUC during the summer months. We'll have lots of information about summer classes, Capital Summer Session, lectures, conferences, religious activities, and entertainment.

Send us an email at enroll@cuc.edu if you have any questions.

FOUR MEMBERS OF the Columbia Union College men's baseball team were selected as national All-Americans by the USCAA. Keith Goldsmith was selected as an Academic All-American, and Ryan Brown, Michael Passurell, and Kendall Hurst were announced as Athletic All-Americans.

The CUC baseball team plays at the NCAA Division II level and finished the regular season with a record of 32-22, giving them the top seed in the USCAA National Invitation Tournament. The team was also recognized by the NCAA for having one of the largest turn-arounds from one year to the next in Division II history. Coach Michael Ricucci, a former student at CUC, told CUCBlog that the 32 wins also is a school record -- for any sport.
