Does Your Summer Program Do This?

IF YOU WANT to really understand history you have to experience it. Nearly 70 students in the CUC Capital Summer Session did just that on Sunday as they spent the day in Philadelphia touring Independence Hall, Ben Franklin's House, the Liberty Bell and the new US Contsitution Center.
The trip was organized by Dr. Joan Francis, Chair of the Department of
History and Political Studies, as part of the curriculum for the US History I course. But students from other classes went as well because they, too, wanted to see the place

where American Democracy was born. Next week students in the US History class will spend a couple of days touring Civil War battle sites. Be sure to check back to see photos.
These kinds of trips are just another example of CUC's amazing location. Not only are we located just minutes from Washington, DC, but we are also within easy drive of a city like Philadelphia, or a battle fields like Anteitam and Gettysburg.
