The National Cherry Blossom Parade is a must-see event. Free to the public (or you can reserve $15 grandstand tickets), this is the "Rose Bowl" parade for D.C.
The parade is this Saturday, April 12, 2008. Featured entertainers this year include:
- Disney Channel star Keke Palmer
- Ugly Betty star Mark Indelicato
- American Idol finalist Anwar Robinson
- Miss America 2008, Kristen Haglund
- Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008, Caitlin Brunell
- Local high school marching bands
- Dancing and drumming teams from Japan and the United States
- Cherry blossom queens from the U.S. and Japan
- Giant balloons, floats, horses, antique cars, clowns and mascots
