Attend the Annual Greek Festival held at the Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in downtown Washington, DC.
If for no other reason, go for the delicious Greek food and delicacies.
The festival will be held May 16, 17 and 18 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. each day.
The Saint Sophia Cathedral is located about one block from the National Cathedral

On May 17-18, the annual Joint Service Open House Air Show will take place at Andrews Air Force Base.
Admission and parking are free!
You must park for this event at FedEx Field (which will have shuttle service to the base) or at the Branch Avenue Metro Station.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a competition where local filmmakers have 48 hours to complete a movie. The audience then judges for the best film.
Do you want to be a part of the Washington, D.C. audience?
Head to the American Film Institute Silver Theatre (in downtown Silver Spring, on Colesville Road) between until May 9. Screenings run at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.
