News from the Smithsonian.

Instead of sitting around watching MTV all weekend, you could do something fun...and educational. Yes, sometimes those two
do go together. The Smithsonian Insitution is dedicated to providing interesting exhibits to suit a range of interests...even your's.
The National Gallery of Art is currently showcasing an exhibition of European Master Drawings, spanning four centuries. With drawings by a slew of famous artists (like Edgar Degas), you'll have an opportunity to view art in its rawest form, before the paint touched the canvas.
So, okay, art's not really your thing. Well, take a quick look and then head over to the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) for lunch at the Mitsitam Native Foods Café. The NMAI is located directly across the Mall from the National Gallery of Art, and really, you can't miss it. The building looks like no other museum on the Mall.
Head home on the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station located on the Green and Yellow lines. It's right behind the NMAI and the Air and Space Museum.
Have a fun weekend!
