IT HAS BEEN a warmer-than-average winter in Washington, DC, with spring-like temperatures and not even a trace of snow since early December. That all changed this weekend as more than a foot of snow fell in the Maryland suburbs. Some areas near the CUC campus saw over 20 inches. And as you can see from the picture at the left, a few people used the occasion to build a snowman in front of the US Capitol Building.

For many CUC students the snow was a welcome sight. After all, we kind of like the fact that we get all four seasons in this part of the country. The only down side to the storm was that it came on the weekend and students didn't get a snow day. CUC opened on time Monday morning and classes ran as usual all day.

You can't have it all!
