CUC Baseball Team Eager to Start Season

THE CALENDAR MAY say that spring doesn't begin for another two months, but for the 18 members of the Columbia Union College baseball team, spring begins this
Friday, February 10, when they play their first game of the season against at Nyack College at 12:00pm. The double-header will be played at CUC's home field,
Shirley Povich Field in Bethesda, MD. First year coach Mike Ricucci is excited about this year's team. 'We have a lot of new players who come from all over the country. But what is so exciting is that they are basball guys -- guys who are real college players in terms of talent.' This year there are 13 new students at CUC who have come to specifically to play baseball at a Christian school that competes at the
NCAA Division-II level.
